As any dog owner knows, our furry friends are always getting into things they shouldn’t. Whether it’s chewing on our shoes or raiding the trash can, it seems like there’s no end to the mischief they can get up to. But one thing you might not have considered is whether money trees are toxic to dogs.

Although money trees are not poisonous to dogs, that doesn’t mean they’re safe for your pet to munch on. The leaves of the money tree can be sharp, and if your dog swallows them, they could cause an internal injury. In addition, the sap of the money tree is sticky and can adhere to your dog’s fur, leading to uncomfortable matting. For these reasons, it’s best to keep your dog away from money trees.
